Support Workers

Join our crew of super support workers with the potential to earn up to an additional £6k per year in sleepover allowance for full-time contracts!

Support Workers Required

Role: Earn up to £28k annually, full-time equivalent, including sleep in allowance. Support people who have a learning disability and other associated needs by ensuring their independence, choice rights and inclusion through the enhancement of their personal, domestic and social needs. Role is subject to an Enhanced DBS check. Drivers are welcomed as driving work vehicles can be a requirement of the role.
Salary: £23,450 (£11.50 p/h) to £ 24,469 (£12.00p/h) + up to an additional £6k per year in sleepover allowance for full-time contracts.
Hours: Various hours available from 8 – 39hrs per week

Making a difference


Do you have an interest in support work and care? Do you think that everyone should be able to lead a fulfilling life in the way that they choose?

Join us as an Apprentice and work towards a Level 2 Adult Care Worker supported by Lakes College West Cumbria. An apprenticeship at West House will enable you to gain on-the-job training, whilst receiving a wage and qualifications in a rewarding, positive and person-centred environment.

Apprenticeship Support Worker

Role: To assist the people we support to lead as active and independent lives as possible by providing person-centred care.
Salary: £6.40 hourly once 19 years of age AND first year complete, National Minimum Wage thereafter.
Hours: 35 hours per week (on the job training)

Role: We are looking for an experienced manager to be responsible for supporting a skilled and knowledgeable support team, providing care and support to people with learning difficulties living in their own home in line with our values of being person-centred, positive and inclusive. Enterprise Operations Manager

Role: We are looking for an experienced manager to lead and develop our social enterprises (Grow West, Café West, West House Pottery and Hall Garden) providing strategic support and direction to ensure financial sustainability and that the learning needs of the people we support are not only met but surpassed. This role is subject to an Enhanced DBS check.
Salary:£45,188 – £47,982

Seasonal Catering Assistant

Role: As a catering assistant you will be responsible for: Assisting with the preparation and serving of all meals and beverages to customers, ensuring that the kitchen areas are clean and tidy, maintaining outstanding levels of customer service, processing orders quickly accurately and efficiently and general cleaning of the food areas. The role is subject to an Enhanced DBS check.
Salary: £11.50 per hour
