New apprenticeship for Choices Cumbria

Angela’s journey began through the Choices programme, funded by The National Lottery Community Fund and The European Social Fund hosted by Groundwork NE & Cumbria in 2019.

After managing her time with CYE, completing training in first aid and volunteering through a placement at West House, receiving direct support from staff, Angela has now been accepted on to an apprenticeship programme following a successful application and interview.

Angela is very excited and ‘chuffed to bits’ that all her hard work and effort has been rewarded and is looking forward to starting on the next phase of her journey including learning new skills and gaining new on the job qualifications.

Enterprise manager, Kenny Milburn said, “From the moment that Angela walked into the centre, she has brought a new feel-good factor into the building and positive energy. Angela has a strong work ethic and is settling in well.”
